Lin’s Pleurotomaria Gastropod
This is exciting…
Cousin Lin found an ancient relative on the Dorset coast at Lyme Regis this past weekend! It’s the best specimen of marine gastropod that the museum there has seen and Lin was happy to donate it to them. Here she is handing it over:
I know this is a bit of a stretch but we all came from the sea originally.
Our families loved to be beside the sea. The Moffats’ favorite holiday spot was Largs on the Ayrshire coast. The Robertsons favored Cramond on the Firth of Forth which was walkable from Granton, or you could take a tram from Leith. For a more lively day out they would go to Portobello.
